"The meaning of our self is not to be found in the separateness of God and others, but in the ceaseless realization of yoga, of union."

Our logo....how did it happen?
The sun . In yoga we have a word 'tapas'. From the root “to burn,” the word tapas carries with it the transformational essence of fire. Just as fire transforms all that it touches, tapas is a method of personal transformation. In the practice of tapas, a yogi finds his own inner flame – the fiery motivation that keeps him focused on his goals and helps him to incinerate the obstacles along his path. Heat and power. All of our classes are taught in the heated room.
The boat . Our mat and the journey we take on it. Yoga is a way of life. Being a sailor is a way of life.
The water . Flow. Our balance. Change. As water constantly ebbs and flows, so does our balance.
The wind . Our breath. The prana of life. Let our breath guide us as the wind guides the boat.

Alex Zeringue
Alex graduated from the University of Michigan and was a NCAA Division I field hockey athlete. She completed Destiny Goldsberry 200 hour teacher training in 2010. Her experience as an athlete allows her to teach a physically challenging and dynamic class. It takes practice to keep our bodies cleansed, strong, flexible, and our minds focused and connected to the present moment. The only way we should have to change is to be more authentically ourselves and yoga has helped Alex cultivate this awareness. Join Alex as you explore, play, and evolve on your mat. See what comes up and sweat it out.
Aarons journey to yoga began in 1996 when a friend turned him on to a few poses to help reduce stress. Since then, the tapestry of yoga has woven its way through his soul and has created dramatic changes such as losing over 50 lbs, eliminating smoking, and recovering
form substance abuse. He mindfully taps into the power of the eight limbs, like a compass to guide him during stages of his life. Through his journey he has witnessed such life changing experiences not only within himself but within others, that he now dedicates his time to being of service and spreading the wisdom of yoga
and the mind, body, spirit connection with others.
Aaron is influenced by a number of teachers and styles of yoga including
Ashtanga, Jivamuki, Power Vinyasa,
Forrest Yoga, and Bhakti Flow. He has studied with Daved Life, Sharron Gannon, Brian Kest, Rusty Wells, Lama Marut, Simon Park, Doug Swenson and received his teaching certification in June 2008 from Destiny Goldsberry.
Aaron draws his inspiration from nature, music, art and loves teaching
in a way that is challenging, fun and inspiring. Come to his class prepared to learn, sweat, and smile

Her teaching is authentic, compassionate, and playful. Genas fundamental teaching is in Forrest Yoga, yet she is inspired by many different teachers and their styles. She continues her yoga journey through various workshops with senior yoga masters.

B ECCA I NPYN www.yogawithbecca.com
Becca first found yoga in 2001 while attending UCLA, and it quickly became her passion and calling in life. She was fortunate to begin her journey in the "yoga mecca" of the United States and study with world-renowned teachers for several years. Her most influential teacher was (and continues to be) Bryan Kest , from whom she received her RYT status in 2005. She has since completed numerous yoga training courses and workshops, and has studied with Shiva Rea, Seane Corn, Destiny Goldsberry, and more amazing teachers.
It wasnt until she returned to her hometown of Rocklin that she realized just how spoiled she had been while living and practicing in Santa Monica. Where were all the yoga studios? (There were none nearby at the time...) But with each challenge comes opportunity for growth, and Becca was able to develop her own personal yoga practice and find her inner teacher. When East Wind Yoga first opened its doors in 2005, Becca found what she was looking for in a yoga studio, and has been practicing there ever since.
She believes that the true benefits of yoga are beyond the physical, but the physical practice is where her journey began. The physical practice lends itself to quieting the mind, disempowering self-destructive habits, being receptive to higher wisdom, and connecting to community. Becca’s yoga practice has improved her life in immeasurable ways. In humble gratitude, she now gives back to the universe by sharing what she has learned about yoga, on and off the mat.
Becca began teaching yoga in 2005, and teaches her students what she likes best for her own yoga practice: a playful, challenging vinyasa class, integrated with elements of Iyengar, Power Yoga, and Forrest-style Yoga. She strives to create a safe and supportive atmosphere in which students have the freedom to deepen their personal yoga practice, yet connect to other students while they draw from the group energy only found in a yoga class.
Scott Emerich
Scott opened East Wind Yoga Roseville in January 2005.
For the first six months, he taught every class and in doing so, created a community for the experienced to the first time practitioner to come home to. Scott takes a hands on approach to teaching with a passion for posture alignment and knowing every student and their practice personally. Each student gets plenty of instruction along their journey. His energy and presence in every class will ground, support and inspire you to work, and rest, both on the mat and off.
Scott loves the heat so bring a large water and a large towel and get ready to leave the studio both exhausted and invigorated. Open your mind and heart and get ready for change.
