Salutation to the Dawn

Look to this day!
For it is life, the very life of life,
In its brief course
Lie all the verities and realities of your existence:
The bliss of growth
The glory of action
The splendor of beauty,
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow only a vision,
But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation of the dawn.

I read This Yesterday and really made a impact in my life. I Woke up early morning today to go to the 6 am class at Auburn, and what a blessing…

There’s magic in those early hours, the transition time from dark to light, even that the your body is stiff, your mind is so clear and opened. It’s quiet outside. No Traficc, Everything feels fresh and new. The morning is promise, potential, and brings the thought that anything might be possible

Thnaks Inge for that amazing class, and Thanks Scott for gave it a try…

This morning, the energy in the room was so calm and peaceful - no matter what the challenge of the pose… The souls were clear and music flowed from the breath. The word was LOVE. Love, love, love, love, love… Love yourself, love eachother, love everything and everyone in every way in every moment… LOVE.

The word today was “ENERGY”. Go where what we do and who and what we are fills our “energy”, our “lifeforce”, our “qi”. Live a life that replenishes our reserves from within.

When we feel that what we are doing is draining or depleting our energy, become aware, and make a conscious choice to be responsible for our lives, and alter what we are doing toward the direction positive energy.

The word is LIFE. Activate the lifeforce within you as the lightning activated the sky in the amazing storm last night! Let the energy go all the way into the core of your soul and turn it on at the deepest level of this lifetime.

Trish - my first contact with East Wind was with your revolutionary Great Wall classes - I look forward to it every week, it’s never the same thing twice. The Wall has given me so much confidence to try things in my practice that I thought were beyond my reach - thank you for your sharing this with me.
Inge - I so enjoy your quiet instruction and your peaceful ways - I cannot imagine being able to look forward to seeing anyone else at 600am twice a week!
Scott - the wonderful qualities of these instructors is a reflection of your leadership and management style - I am so glad to have found your studios. East Wind is my own personal oasis of tranquility in my busy life.
Namaste!

After a bit of a hiatus because of a knee and foot injury, (and new baby) I was reluctant to dust off my mat, leave my kids at home, and get back to it at East Wind. I finally decided to make my way through Auburn fog last Thursday and try Forrest flow with Marilyn. Something was calling me to it. I had no idea what to expect, so had no expectations at all. I was amazed at the healing benefits!
These words fluttered in during Savasana and begged to be written down.
I want to share, and dedicate it to Marilyn and her bright spirit!

Illuminated

Thank you for lending me your light today,
bringing me back to this place
where I begin to melt
and mend.

Thank you for pulling me back
into the circle
of life,
where we are each intertwined.
Bright beings of spirit
familiar as family.

Thank you for lending me your light today,
we are all healers here.
Wringing out each sinew and fiber,
until what is not needed
must simply fall away.

Thank you for illuminating my spirit,
that I may now use my own light
to re-ignite another.

~NAMASTE~
