Scott Bishop

We are thrilled to officially welcome Scott Bishop to the East Wind Yoga teaching team! While Scott has been subbing classes with us for the past few months, we are fortunate to now have him as a regular instructor, leading our Thursday 6 AM Hybrid class.
Scott brings over seven years of teaching experience, having taught at LifeTime and Zuda Yoga in Roseville. His dedication to sharing yoga extends beyond the studio—he has volunteered to teach weekly yoga classes at California State Prison in Folsom, guiding individuals in a maximum-security setting through breath, movement, and mindfulness.
A Yoga Alliance Certified 500-hour teacher, Scott has also completed a 200-hour Radiance Sutra Meditation Teacher Training and a 100-hour Power Yoga Training, deepening his practice in both movement and meditation. He believes that yoga is far more than the physical postures we practice on the mat. As he puts it:
"In our Western world, we often see yoga as the movements and postures we do on a mat, when in reality, that is only one of the eight limbs of yoga, and the full practice of yoga transcends the mat into a way of living beyond the self."
Scott’s passions extend beyond yoga—he speaks fluent Spanish and Italian, loves international travel, and enjoys hiking, cycling, and mountain biking. He is engaged to Jeanna, his partner of eight years, and together they share a life filled with love, adventure, and connection. He is also a proud father of five adult children and a three-year-old grandson, whom he considers some of his greatest teachers.
Please join us in welcoming Scott to the East Wind Yoga family, and don’t miss his Thursday 6 AM Hybrid classes in Auburn! We’re so excited for the wisdom, strength, and heart he brings to our community.
