Scott is a self-taught yoga teacher that began his journey in the Bikram practice in 2002. It wasnt long before he was teaching that discipline and over the years has created his own styles of static and vinyasa flow yoga. His primarily focused is on posture and he's known for detailed instruction to the individual. His practices are challenging and yet he creates an environment in which every individual is free to go at their own pace, rest when they need to work when they're ready to.

Elliot is a 26 year old student of yoga and has six years of experience practicing his own adapted style of yoga modeled after ashtanga, bikram, yin, and the western "vinyasa" adaptations of ashtanga: power yoga, and vinyasa/bhakti flow yoga. My yoga journey started with Hot Yoga. Although it was challenging, I fell in love with the heat and the asana. There is a special bond between the heat and the body in hot yoga that allows you to learn how to better control the breath and mind while the body is being challenged. It can be very empowering to discover various layers of the self while working through heated asana. Whether it is a familiar posture or something new and challenging, the heat will help train your breath to find ease.

I began as a student at East Wind in 2007 and spent the next several years drifting in and out of practice. In 2013 I fully committed to my practice, and in 2018 completed a RYT 200 hour certification at East Wind Yoga. Initially I was drawn to yoga for the physical aspect, but instead fell in love with my deeper breath, quieting my busy mind, and the contentment I felt throughout the day. This practice is humbling and it is magical. It challenges us to take risks. We are capable of so much!

Michael has been practicing yoga for 10 years and has completed three 200 Yoga teacher trainings. With roots in vinyasa and ashtanga yoga, he combines inspiration from many areas. He enjoys hiking, traveling, seeing live music and taking landscape photography in his free time. His classes will be challenging but also suitable for all levels with modifications being offered. Elise started her yoga journey in a very hot Bikram studio in San Francisco 20 years ago, and started practicing regularly when she discovered Vinyasa Flow a few years later. Yoga has played an important role in her life ever since, supporting her both physically and mentally through life’s many ups and downs. She completed her 200 hour Vinyasa certification and Buti Yoga certification in 2017, and loves sharing her practice with others. Her classes are creative, dynamic, challenging!
